"You’re”
"You’re” is a relatively light-hearted poem compared to other of Plath’s works, and it’s one of my favorites. I always ask my students to analyze the title “You’re”: Why Plath uses the contracted form “You’re” instead of “You Are”? To what extent does it relate to pregnancy and the bond between the mother and her child? (See if you can solve this riddle).
